Gregorian Singing Course by Maestro Fulvio Rampi
Gregorian Singing Courses is a first course of 10 lessons, about 20' each, held by Fulvio Rampi and dedicated to the explanation and listening to Gregorian repertoire - performed by the Gregorian Cantori - along the course of the liturgical year. The 1st course, fully published, includes the Advent and Christmas times; from next Lent, another 2 courses of 9 lessons will follow each on the times of Lent, Easter and solemnity of the Lord. It is a new Gregorian itinerary designed for anyone who wants to get closer to this great treasure of the Catholic Church and European culture, which can be reserved for those who approach it without preconceptions. This new You-Tube channel is connected to 3 other new channels full of videos and music audio by the Gregorian Cantori, the Sicardo Choir of Cremona and the former Musical Chapel of the Cremona Cathedral. A full-bodied liturgical-choral itinerary from the Gregorian to the present day. AERCO is grateful to Maestro Rampi for putting these lessons at the service of the AERCO associated choirs as well.
Diplomato in Organo e Composizione organistica, ha conseguito il Magistero e il Dottorato in canto gregoriano presso il Pontificio Istituto Ambrosiano di Musica Sacra di Milano sotto la guida di Luigi Agustoni.
Successore dello stesso Agustoni presso il medesimo Pontificio Istituto, ha al suo attivo numerose pubblicazioni su riviste specialistiche ed è autore e curatore di quattro volumi sul canto gregoriano.
Nel 1985 ha fondato il coro “Cantori Gregoriani”, un ensemble professionistico del quale è direttore stabile. Con tale gruppo ha inciso 25 CD per conto di importanti case discografiche. Intensa è anche l’attività concertistica in varie parti del mondo. Dal 1998 al 2010 è stato m° di Cappella della Cattedrale di Cremona.
Nel 2010 ha costituito il Coro Sicardo, col quale svolge attività concertistica, discografica e servizio liturgico nella chiesa di S.Abbondio in Cremona, dove è anche organista.
E' titolare della Cattedra di Prepolifonia al Conservatorio "G. Verdi" di Torino.
