Niccolò Paganini
He completed his musical studies in violin and choir conducting at the ‘Arrigo Boito’ Conservatory of Music in Parma. At the same time he obtained, with honors, the Degree Diploma in Modern Letters, at the University of Parma, with Professor Gian Paolo Minardi, presenting a thesis on ‘Paganini and the Ducal Orchestra of Parma’. He is now graduating in Musicology, at the University of Pavia. Professionally qualified in Letters, he teaches letters, music and he is coordinator of training activities for twenty years in a primary and secondary school of I ° degree of Parma, and it is precisely in this area that he usually carries out his profession. Engaged in teaching, he holds courses in music education, history of music, choral singing, for associations and schools of all levels in our province. Expert connoisseur of the violinist Paganini, he has been invited several times to give lectures and interviews, among which, lately, in a transmission of the German television SWR and at the ‘Niccolò Paganini Guitar Festival’. In addition, he collaborated with the German production Provobis FMN Fuhrmann Media Network, for the production of a documentary on the life of the famous Genoese genius. Recently he published as a co-author the book ‘Niccolò Paganini, notes of a life over the top’, published by the MUP publishing in Parma. He is the artistic director of the ‘Niccolò Paganini-Parma’ cultural association. As a choir conductor for many years, he founded and directs the various choral groups of the San Benedetto Association, in Parma. He was president and artistic director of the Parma Choir Association. He is a member of the Artistic Commission of the Emiliano Romagnola Cori Association of which he is also the editorial director of the magazine ‘FarCoro’. Artistic director of various events including two important festivals: ‘Schools in ... choir!’, festival of the school choirs of the province of Parma, now at its 13th edition, and the ‘Adolfo Tanzi’ International Choir Festival, of which this year the X edition will take place. Very busy also in the field of music dissemination from December 2003 to June 2015, he collaborated on the ‘LADIMUS’ project which then became ‘TALKING ABOUT MUSIC’, a laboratory for the popularization of music which took place at the ‘Casa della Musica’ in Parma.
