Fabio Pecci

Fabio Pecci studied cello at the ‘G. Verdi’ Music Institute of Ravenna graduating brilliantly. He has held hundreds of concerts as a soloist and member of chamber and orchestral ensembles in Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, Greece; he has received several awards in national and international competitions and has recorded various CDs for Tactus, Bongiovanni and other independent labels. Music therapist, over the years he has been passionate about musical pedagogy and from his work with the boys the passion for the children choirs was born. He currently directs three children choirs and two youth choirs with whom he carries out an intense activity. As choral conductor he has given concerts in Italy, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, San Marino Republic, obtaining various prizes and awards in various National and International competitions (including 6 first prizes): Rimini Choral International Competition, Queen of Adriatic Sea Choral Competition, International Competition City of Treviso, City of Faenza. He oversaw the preparation of the children choir in ‘Tosca’, ‘Bohème’ and ‘Carmen’ for numerous Italian theaters; in 2008 with the children choir ‘Le Allegre Note’ he took part in the production of the ‘Te Deum’ by Berlioz directed by M° C. Abbado and broadcast on RAI1 on Christmas Eve. With the same choir he performed the Carmina Burana by C. Orff several times with the Percussionists of Santa Cecilia in Rome. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Artistic Commission of A.E.R.CO, for which he takes care in particular of the activities aimed at the choirs of children and young people. Appointed to represent Emilia Romagna with the ‘Note In Crescendo’ choir at the national choral review at EXPO 2015 ‘Vivaio di Voci’, he was teacher for the ‘Spring Festival’ FENIARCO in Montecatini in 2016 and 2017. He is the artistic director of the ‘Città di Riccione’ Choral Competition for children choirs.
